Joining Eight Eleven Group as an intern was pivotal in Emma’s career journey. When she was hired as an intern at Medasource our staffing and recruiting agency focused on professional services for the healthcare industry, she was excited and ready to immerse herself in new opportunities. Little did she know that this would pave the way for a full-time position with Calculated Hire only 10 months later. The fact that both companies share the same parent company, Eight Eleven Group, simplified Emma’s transition between the two. “I was hired as an intern for Medasource in April of 2023 and started in May. After the internship ended, I stayed in contact with the Internal Hiring team and in December interviewed for a Calculated Hire position in the Louisville office. After another interview, I received an offer and accepted the position in January. The interview process could not have gone better, and internal hiring made sure I found the right fit in the company.”
“During the internship, I assisted Madison Peyton with a variety of projects within Medasource. This was a valuable experience because of the wide range of tasks that contributed to a comprehensive understanding of the company. I worked directly with recruiters to learn the delivery side of the company, which helped me to feel more prepared for my future position. In my role I successfully entered all necessary data into the consultant profile system and ensured that all personnel were accurately recorded. I also managed Excel documents and made sure employee timesheets were submitted in a timely manner. Additionally, I was able to lead a meeting that we call a “5-Star” where we meet with the whole market office and serve as a daily touch base for our sales and recruiters. Though I was nervous at first, the Louisville office helped me prepare for it and made me feel confident in myself. At (Calculated Hire), we are constantly receiving encouragement to step out of our comfort zones and as we grow, we receive so much support from everyone.”

“The people and the culture! The people at Eight Eleven were the reason I joined and chose to stay. During my time as an intern, I felt very supported on National Intern Day when my manager and Medasource team gifted me a sweet treat and gorgeous flowers. I also loved being able to network with the Louisville office and recruiters from headquarters. I have been surrounded by some amazing people throughout my time here. Everyone here is genuine, kind, helpful, a team player, and extremely hard-working. There are many people that I looked up to and who have helped me out so much. You can truly tell that Eight Eleven cares about their employees and this creates a culture where everyone genuinely cares for one another and wants to see others succeed.”
“After my internship ended, I started my last year at Western Kentucky University. When I graduated in May, I had a few weeks to settle back in Louisville before starting my career. The transition from college to full-time has been an adjustment. Throughout this new season, Calculated Hire has been so supportive and helpful. I am surrounded by coworkers who offer advice, encouragement, and resources so that I can be the best I can be. It has been great because the people in my hire class are also recent college graduates and just starting in the corporate world. We have been able to stay in contact with one another, which has been very helpful with the transition. My roommate during training and I always text one another with questions we might have and solve any problems we might run into.”
“I am an Associate Account Executive. I am currently recruiting for Calculated Hire and will eventually be transitioning into the Account Executive Role.”
“Currently I work to identify potential candidates for our open positions. I am on Indeed and LinkedIn frequently reaching out to potential candidates. Once I have selected candidates, I run through our screening process to ensure they are the perfect fit for our client. Since I am in the new hire process I normally have at least one workshop a week, which has helped me learn my position better. I also work closely with the Account Executives on the different positions we are trying to fill.”
“Calculated Hire is special because of the people. I know I keep mentioning the people here at Calculated Hire, but they are truly what makes this company special. The passion and grit each team member has is insane! Everyone works hard and makes sure to spend time getting to know their co-workers and becoming ingrained within the company.
